Students at the Arlington Original building
In 1978 George Mason University acquired the International School of Law, which at that time was holding classes in a former department store in Arlington. Mason continued to conduct classes in law and other subjects in the department store building until 2011 and the completion of the new Founder’s Hall next door. This is the ground-level lobby area of the building. The escalator, which dates to 1951, can be seen in the background. | Creator: George Mason University Creative Services | Date: 1980 | Source: George Mason University photograph collection, #R0120 Box 72, Folder 6 | Rights: Copyright George Mason University
